The Toyota brand isn’t just a global-wide automaker. It also takes active part in various charities throughout the nation. Right here in California, the brand took part in the annual “Drive Safe” Golf Tournament.
The charity event was held at the Valencia Country Club golf course and was a collaboration between Toyota automakers and the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
Last year’s tournament was a major success, with the event raising over $300,000 that goes towards the hospital’s emergency care department.

That is not all. In the city of Jackson, TN, the Tennessee Board of Regents awarded the Toyota brand the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence. The award was given after the automaker donated two 2018 Toyota Corolla sedans and two 2018 Toyota Highlander SUVs to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. The vehicles will be used in training programs for students learning about the latest automotive technology, such as autonomous AI.
The philanthropy doesn’t end there. All the way in Norfolk, VA, the Toyota brand held its 50th Annual Priority Toyota Charity Bowl. This is a festive musical event with performances from Grammy-award winning singers like Joe Nichols. Also in attendance were the cheerleaders from NFL’s Washington Redskins. The event raised $442,000 that will go to local children’s charities, such as ForKids, I Need a Lighthouse, and The Boys and Girls Club.
As you can see, the automotive brand is all about giving back. The same goes for Toyota Chula Vista, where we give back to military members and young college grads through a number of exclusive offers. Our Toyota incentives near Lemon Grove, CA, are another way of giving back to the community.
