Earlier this week, Toyota announced that it would be debuting the significantly enhanced and performance-improved 2017 Toyota Highlander on Wednesday, March 23 at the upcoming New York International Auto Show! The popular midsize SUV will receive several new updates to equipment and technology both inside and out on the vehicle. The 2017 Toyota Highlander is a no-compromise three-row SUV that combines style, technology, comfort, safety, and capability to create an unbeatable SUV option! The refreshed exterior design conveys refinement and strength while the newly designed interior expresses refinement, comfort, and luxury. Depending on which seating configuration you choose, the three-row SUV offers seating for up to seven or eight passengers, and it is offered in six trim levels.

One of the biggest areas of improvement is in regards to its three impressive and efficient powertrain options. It is now offered with a new 3.5-liter Direct Injection V6 engine that boosts horsepower while also increasing fuel economy. All models come with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive, while all V6 models feature the newly developed direct shift eight-speed automatic transmission. The V6 models will also come standard with a new Stop and Start Engine System that will shut off the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop and then automatically restarts when the driver lets out the brake.

On the inside it will get style and material upgrades that give a refined look and relaxing feel. The 2017 Toyota Highlander will also come equipped with a number of advanced safety features with the Toyota Safety Sense P multi-feature safety package.
